biZ

biZ spiller fra august 2011 til juni  2012

Cirkusbygningen fylder 125 år i år, og i årenes løb har der været mange forskellige slags showbiz. Det er for at hylde showbiz af showproducer Johan Espeland har valgt at kalde årets show for biZ.

 

Velkommen til en ny fantastisk sæson i Cirkusbygningen.

Nyd en af de 5 menuer og 9 shownumre med pauser til, at nyde både middag og selskab. Lad vores artister, der tidligere har optrådt på bl.a. Det Kongelige Teater og Stockholms Kongelige Opera, få smilet og grinet frem, når de optræder og serverer tættest på scenen. I pauserne vil 3 internationale cirkusartister begejstre med humor, artisteri og svimlende akrobatik i hele salen.

 

Lad dig forføre og rive med af gamle Hollywood film musicals i farverige fortolkninger af Judy Garland, Gene Kelly og Frank Sinatra. Dans til genskabningen af Europe og TOTO og oplev synergien når Beatles møder motown.

 

Oplev magiske øjeblikke i et musikalsk eventyr i Disneys univers med favoritnumre fra bl.a. filmene ”Mulan” og ”Herkules” – og kom i dansehumør med vor tids største popdronning Lady Gaga. Til slut – den store finale, hvor numre fra 80’ernes Wham, Duran Duran og Eurythmics omdanner Cirkusbygningen til et gigantisk dansegulv med dansere i bedste 80’er neonstil.

Albin Ljungqvist

Singer & show captain
Place of Birth: Falköping, Sweden
Education and Work: Albin studied Musical Theatre at the Ballet Academy in Gothenburg. His work credits include: Musicals at Liseberg and Filmgalan at Gothenburg’s Opera House.  Albin has worked two years at Golden Hits in Stockholm, and five years at Wallmans Copenhagen. This is Albin’s 8th year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you? “Being able to express yourself through singing, as well as the bling, feathers and glamour!”
Curiosa: Albin’s favourite football team is Aston Villa, and his favourite cartoon is Tom and Jerry

Anna Netterlid

Circus artist
Place of Birth: Bjärred, Sweden
Education and Work: Anna trained at the Urdang Academy in London, as well as studying with teachers from Cirque du Soleil and Las Vegas. Shows and concerts include: Melodifestivalen 2011, NBC Today Morning Show, TV4’s Talang 2008, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruises, Jesus Christ Superstar, Malmö, A Chous Line, Malmö, as well as many dinner shows, corporate events and TV appearances. This is Anna’s 1st year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you? “To be creative and work with my body. To be on stage, to move and amaze people”. Curiosa: Anna’s favourite thing to do in her spare time is “hang out” with Hugo – her ten month old son, and her favourite move is The Lion King.

Christofer Lindström

Dancer
Place of Birth: Piteå, Sweden
Education and Work: Christofer trained at the Performing Arts School in Gothenburg. His work credits include: Nordic Choice at the Stockholm Globe, Blues Mothers at Eriksbergshallen Gothenburg, Mary Kay Scandinavium (2009/2010), Perr Gynt at the Royal Opera House Stockholm. This is his 1st year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you?  “To get the chance to work with fantastic people, both on and off stage; and to entertain and affect the audience”.
Curiosa: Christofer’s favourite drink is a beer, or maybe a glass of red wine, or just a coke!

Ernestine Ruiz

Dancer
Place of Birth: Burlingame, California, USA
Education and Work: Ernestine studied dance at the Ballet Academy in Gothenburg. Her work credits include: Romeo and Juliet, Guys and Dolls of the Gothenburg Opera House, TV commercials for “So You Think You Can Dance”, shows with Shirley Clamp, Lill-Babs, Fame, Bosson and more. This is her 1st year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you? “I love to entertain people and always have. I love being on stage, dancing and performing and seeing the audience enjoy what I'm doing and just give them a great evening that they can take home with them. I love to dance, I don't know how to do anything else... I don't want to know how to do anything else...I am a dancer. If I get to do what I love and people love to watch me... then I’m the happiest person you’ll know”.
Curiosa: Ernestine’s favourite drink is coffee and her favourite actress is Marilyn Monore.

Frederik von Wachenfeldt

Pianist & Musical director
Place of Birth: Stockholm, Sweden
Education and Work: Frederik studied at the Malmö Academy of Music, Adolf Fredriks Music School and Music Gymnasium in Växjö. His work credits include: Some Like It Hot, Pippi Longstocking, Me & My Girl at Nöjesteatern in Malmö.  Wallmans in Oslo, Malmö and Copenhagen. This is Frederik’s 10th year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you?  "A way of living the perfect dream, it's like having strawberry cheesecake every day and not getting fat".
Curiosa: Figge is a highly skilled scuba diver and loves the underwater life so much that he doesn't eat any fish or sea food.

Ida Berg

Singer
Place of Birth: Vinslöv, Skåne, Sweden
Education and Work: Ida is a self-taught singer, and continues to learn from everyone she works alongside. Her work credits include: Soirée Rouge in Stockholm and Wallmans in Stockholm. This is Ida’s 2nd year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you?  “The fact that I can actually make a living out of my greatest passion in life; singing”.
Curiosa: Ida’s favourite TV series is Sex and The City, and her favourite drink is coffee, coffee and lots more coffee.

Isak Berglind

Varieté artist
Place of birth: Västerås, Sweden
Education and work: Isak studied at the Circus School in Gävle, and has worked for 2entertain’s Blue Village in Gran Canaria and Thailand. 
This is Isak’s 1st year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you?  “To be able to make a living of what you like to do.  To entertain people and get applause as a part of your job. The flexibility and the thousands of opportunities you have.” Isak’s favourite role played to date is RajRaj the Clown, and his favourite TV series The Simpsons.
Curiosa: Isak’s favourite role played to date is RajRaj the Clown, and his favourite TV series The Simpsons.

Jimmy Andersson

Circus artist
Place of birth: Höllviken, Sweden
Education and Work: Jimmy studied aerial work with Marque and Becky Ohmes, Las Vegas, USA, and with Jean-Pierre from Cirque du Soleil. Shows and concerts include: Melodifestivalen 2011, NBC Today Morning Show, Eurosports Ice Show from Ingolstadt 2009, TV4´s Efter tio, TV4 Skånes The Portrait. Sea Legs Circus at Sea, Forever Fame, Country Gold. Royal Caribbean – In the Air.  Malmö Stad – Wintermezzo 2008, Valborg 2010. as well as many dinner shows, corporate events and TV appearances. This is Jimmy’s 1st year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you? “It is a great adrenalin kick to go on stage and it is a nice feeling when the audience is applauding”.
Curiosa: Jimmy’s favourite movie is Star Wars, and his favourite actor is Harrison Ford.

Jonas Antesten

Singer
Place of birth: Uppsala, Sweden
Education and work: Jonas studied at the Musical Theatre Academy in Umeå. His work credits include: Romeo and Juliet in Sarajevo, Oliver Twist, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, Hednadotter, Camping. Sunwing, äR, The Royal Ghost - A Metal Opera, Wallmans Golden Hits, Stockholm and Wallmans Copenhagen. 
This is his 6th year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you?  “I get paid for doing what I can’t live without; singing”.
Curiosa: One of Jonas’ favourite role played is Elvis, which he performed for three seasons at Wallmans Golden Hits.  His favourite movie is The Boondock Saints.

Karen Bernardino

Singer
Place of Birth: Manila, Philipines

Education and Work: Anna studied at Bårdar Ballet Akademiet in Oslo. Work credits include: Miss Saigon, Hair, Grease and Jesus Christ Superstar. This is Karens’s 3rd year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you? it´s place were I feel home and free:) the goal is to give the audience the best night, feel good/ energized and hopefully spread that joy in there own world:)

Karl Wedin

Varieté artist
Place of Birth: Linghed Sweden
Education and Work: Karl studied Circus and Variety at the Circus School in Gävle and Vazir.  His work credits include Dinnershows Middag med andarna, Vazir gratinerade galenskaper, and Wallmans Oslo. This is Karl’s 2nd year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you? “Good fun and meeting people.”
Curiosa: Karl’s favourite actor is Charlie Chaplin, and his favourite movie is “O’ Brother, Where Art Thou?”

 

Kimmo Hietanen

Cirkus artist
Place of Birth: Tampere, Finland
Education and Work: Kimmo studied circus arts at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque in France. Shows and concerts include: Cirkus Cirkör's Inside Out on tour, German Varietés such as Krystallpalast Varieté and Varieté Et Cetera, Peacock Theatre Helsinki, Dance Theatre Hurjaruuth and Summer Rock Festivals in Finland. This is Kimmo’s 1st year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you?  “Getting to work and perform with different kinds of people from all around the world!” 
Curiosa: Kimmo’s favourite role played is “A boy with a really big head”, and his favourite movie is Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Pierre Oxenryd

Singer
Place of Birth: Onsala, Sweden
Education and Work: Pierre is self taught in musical theatre, and learnt a lot from his old metal band - Moonville! His work credits include: Sunwing Resorts, Wallmans Malmö and Wallmans Copenhagen. This is his 3rd year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you?  “'cause there is no business like showbusiness”!
Curiosa: Pierre’s favourite drink is a grasshopper made by bartender Thomas in the Circus Building, and his favourite actor is Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Regitze Glenthøj

Singer
Place of Birth: Herlev, Denmark
Education and Work: Regitze studied at the Danish Academy of Musical Theatre in Fredericia. Her work credits include: The Sound of Music, Les Miserables and Beauty and the Beast at the New Theatre, Copenhagen, Spring Awakening at Aalborg, My Fair Lady at the Royal Theatre, as well as many TV commericals and concerts. This is her 1st year at Wallmans.
What does “showbiz” mean to you? “Friendship, solidarity, the making of art – both musically and dramatically, and great performances”.
Curiosa: Regitze’s favourite role played was as Wendla in Spring Awakening, and her favourite actress is Karen-Lise Mynster.
